On the 9th, the Central Disease Control Headquarters stated, "After implementing the first phase of indoor mask-wearing obligation adjustment for about a month, we reviewed the quarantine situation and considered complaints raised so far to discuss lifting the mask mandate on public transportation with experts." They added, "The results will be announced next week after discussions at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH)."
It is known that the quarantine authorities sought opinions on lifting the mask mandate on public transportation at the National Infectious Disease Crisis Response Advisory Committee meeting held on the 7th. After compiling the advisory committee's opinions and those of related ministries, the specific implementation timing is expected to be finalized through a CDSCH meeting next week.
