Singer Nam Taehyun Drunk Driving, Taxi Damage... License Revocation Level
Charged with Drunk Driving Allegation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Singer Nam Taehyun (30) was caught by the police for drunk driving.
On the 8th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that Nam was booked and is under investigation for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
Nam damaged the side mirror of a passing taxi while opening the door of his parked car on the roadside in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 3:20 a.m. that day.
Nam reportedly paid the taxi driver about 300,000 won to settle the matter, but a police report was later filed. The victim was reported to have not been injured in the incident.
When the police arrived at the scene and conducted a breathalyzer test, the result showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.114%, which is above the license cancellation threshold.

A police official stated, "He was very intoxicated, so after confirming his identity, he was released," adding, "We plan to coordinate a schedule for further investigation."
