Hong Young-geun, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, revisited the wildfire site in Mangyong-ri, Woldeung-myeon, Suncheon City on the 8th to inspect the response system.
According to Jeonnam Fire on the 8th, Director Hong took time at the site to encourage the staff who devoted their efforts to extinguishing the wildfire and to check the forest fire response system.
Fire Chief Hong Young-geun is revisiting the wildfire site in Mangyong-ri, Woldeung-myeon, Suncheon City, which occurred on the 3rd, to inspect the forest fire response system.

The wildfire that occurred on the 3rd in Woldeung-myeon, Suncheon City, was escalated to wildfire level 2 and the main fire was contained after about 5 hours. As the wildfire broke out, about 90 residents from three nearby villages evacuated to village halls and other shelters.
Although the main fire was contained in 5 hours, it took 21 hours to completely extinguish due to smoldering fires spreading throughout the mountains.
