Silla University Department of Health Administration Obtains Certification as a Health Medical Information Management Education Institution
The Department of Health Administration at Silla University has been selected as an accredited institution for health information management education by the Korea Health and Medical Information Management Education Evaluation Institute (Jeongpyeongwon). The accreditation period is three years, from March 2023 to February 2026.
The accreditation system is designed to objectively and systematically evaluate whether universities have the educational systems and programs necessary to produce health information managers equipped with the competencies required by the times and society.
The main evaluation areas include program operation system, curriculum, students, faculty, and educational environment, and Silla University met all the criteria.
Accordingly, students entering the Department of Health Administration at Silla University can take the national exam for Health Information Manager (HIM) after completing the required major courses.
Professor Hee-Tae Lee of the Department of Health Administration said, “We will do our best to nurture professional personnel in the field of health administration who can lead the development of the healthcare sector.”
