Police Conduct Search and Seizure at Two Locations Including Yoo Ah-in's Residence on Drug Use Allegations
The police have conducted a search and seizure at two locations, including the residence of actor Yoo Ah-in (real name Eom Hong-sik), who is suspected of drug use.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit announced on the 7th that they are carrying out a search and seizure at two locations, including Yoo's residence, on suspicion of habitual drug use.
The National Forensic Service recently informed the police of the results of a detailed analysis showing positive reactions for four types of narcotics?marijuana, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine?in Yoo's hair and other samples. Earlier, on the 5th of last month, the police executed a body search warrant for Yoo Ah-in at Incheon International Airport. At that time, a preliminary urine test showed a positive reaction for marijuana, and a detailed analysis was requested from the National Forensic Service. Hair analysis can confirm drug use for up to one year, depending on the length of the hair.
