Anchor Dropped on '2023 Gyeonggi International Boat Show'... 68,000 Visitors 'Record High'
Gyeonggi Province recorded approximately 68,000 visitors to the '2023 Gyeonggi International Boat Show' held from the 3rd to the 5th at KINTEX in Goyang and Aramarina in Gimpo.
This is an increase of about 13,000 visitors compared to last year's 55,000, marking the largest scale ever.
The province provided a wide range of viewing opportunities by expanding the exhibition area to 32,157㎡, 1.5 times larger than last year, and broadening the fields to include camping and caravans in addition to boats.
Fishing boats from the three major boat manufacturers in the province?Starmarine, Seastar Marine, and Big Bear Marine?sold 30 units (1.5 billion KRW) on site. Motojet, the winner of this year’s Product of the Year Award (Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Award), received dealership contracts from five overseas countries and inquiries for 160 electric surfer board purchases.
The Gyeonggi International Boat Show is a comprehensive exhibition jointly hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Gyeonggi Province since 2008 to expand the base and market channels of the marine leisure industry. Since last year, it has been held simultaneously with the Korea Fishing Expo, the largest fishing exhibition in Korea.
