HiteJinro Holdings Provides Scholarship Support for Children of Food Service Workers
Scholarships Provided to About 50 Students This Year... Over 900 Supported Since 2015
HiteJinro Holdings announced on the 7th that it will continue its scholarship program for children of food service workers this year as well.
As part of its win-win management and social contribution activities, HiteJinro Holdings has been providing scholarships to support tuition fees for university students who are children of food service workers, who continue to focus on their studies despite difficult family economic conditions such as the economic downturn in Gyeonggi Province, since 2015. Over the past nine years, it has supported about 900 scholarship recipients with a total of 1.3 billion KRW.
This year, about 50 students enrolled in universities located in Seoul and the metropolitan area were selected as scholarship recipients. They were selected based on certain criteria such as academic performance, family circumstances, and the need for scholarships, and each receives an annual scholarship of 1 million KRW. Instead of holding a scholarship certificate awarding ceremony, an event was organized to encourage the students by giving special gifts when the selected scholarship recipients post 인증샷 (proof photos) on social networking services (SNS) themselves.
