Korean Menswear Brand Enters Paris Fashion Week After 22 Years
Seoul City Supports Tranoi Menswear Exhibition in June
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 7th that the operation of exhibition halls for six domestic women's fashion designer brands at the '2023 F/W Paris Fashion Week TRANOI Exhibition,' held for four days from the 2nd to the 5th at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, was successfully concluded.
The six Seoul Fashion Week women's wear brands participating in the 2023 F/W TRANOI exhibition were ‘KWAKHYUNJOO COLLECTION’, ‘DOUCAN’, ‘LIE’, ‘MMAM’, ‘VEGAN TIGER’, and ‘tibaeg’.
To increase order results (contracts) for each brand at this TRANOI exhibition, the city formed a dedicated sales team in cooperation with TRANOI to conduct customized consultations. Additionally, support was provided for entry into the online B2B business platform LENEWBLACK and the creation of special exhibitions to assist online order consultations. On the morning of the 3rd at 10:30 AM (local time), a live broadcast was held targeting buyers who could not visit the exhibition site.
The six Seoul Fashion Week designers showcased unique and diverse Korean fashion and conducted order consultations with buyers from around the world. The city plans to continue ongoing management after the Seoul Fashion Week trade show to ensure contracts can be finalized.
After completing the order exhibition schedule in Paris, the designers will participate in Seoul Fashion Week, held from the 15th to the 19th. They will present various brand fashion shows in front of domestic and international guests at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Meanwhile, as interest in ‘K-Fashion’ is rising in the European market, the city will expand support to five domestic men's wear designer brands for the June TRANOI exhibition held for four days from June 22 to 25 at Garage Amelot in Paris. In particular, during this period, a joint fashion show featuring three men's wear brands will also be held in Paris. This marks the first time in 22 years since the start of Seoul Fashion Week that men's wear brands from Seoul Fashion Week have been showcased at ‘Paris Fashion Week’.
