Namwon-si Completes 'Citizen Empathy Open Dialogue'... Sharing Directions for City Administration Operations

Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that it successfully concluded the '2023 Citizen Empathy Open Dialogue' targeting 23 eup, myeon, and dong districts on the 3rd.

Mayor Choi Kyung-sik began on the 3rd by inviting various organizations from different fields in Namwon, such as the Namwon Volunteer Fire Brigade Union, senior citizens' associations, and agricultural groups in each eup, myeon, and dong, to explain the direction of city administration.

In addition, through natural conversational communication addressing members' questions, they plan to gather wisdom to create a 'City of Culture and Future Industries, Namwon.'

In fact, during the dialogue with the Namwon Volunteer Fire Brigade Union, the first social organization to participate in the open dialogue on the 3rd, Mayor Choi shared the direction of the 8th term of the city administration with the members.

While forming a consensus on various city administration issues, including the drone industry, which will be a new growth engine for Namwon, and eco-friendly future agriculture, candid discussions were held regarding the opinions raised to gather proposals and intentions from citizens.

Mayor Choi said, “No matter how groundbreaking and innovative a plan is, it is difficult to implement without the empathy and consent of the citizens. Knowing that the citizens are the owners of Namwon City, we will always put our heads together with the citizens to find solutions to the complex and diverse issues facing Namwon City.”

Meanwhile, the '2023 Citizen Empathy Open Dialogue' is scheduled to continue on the 6th (taxi industry stakeholders), the 17th (Namwon Agricultural Organizations Council and Fruit Growers Association), and on the 16th and 21st (chairpersons and secretaries of senior citizens' associations in 23 eup, myeon, and dong districts) following the Namwon Volunteer Fire Brigade Union on the 3rd.
