Professor Song Si-seop of Dong-A University Law School Donates 10 Million KRW to Development Fund
Professor Song Gi-seop of Dong-A University Law School donated 10 million won to the school's development fund.
Professor Song attracted attention by donating condolence money to the law school development fund, which he is affiliated with, after mourning his father's death last year.
Professor Song's father, who passed away in November last year, left behind his elderly mother and younger sister. After participating in the Korean War, he returned home to support the family but was unable to graduate from Dong-A University's Department of Law, which he had entered with great difficulty in 1956.

After discussing with my family, I decided that returning the condolence money to the school would be something my father would be pleased with," adding, "I will live even more diligently, honoring my father's will who guided me into the world of law and taught me dedication to the community."
He continued, "The dean of the law school and all the professors are devoted day and night to educating and guiding outstanding legal professionals. I hope this development fund can be of some help," and added, "I will work harder for the development of the school and the law school to repay the grace I have received."
President Lee Hae-woo said, "The development fund donated by a professor currently serving feels even more valuable and meaningful," and added, "Having already produced the 12th graduating class and with the 15th class entering this year, I hope the law school students will take pride and grow into excellent legal professionals who will make significant contributions."
Professor Song graduated from Busan Dong-A High School and Korea University Law School, passed the 38th Judicial Examination, and worked as a lawyer in Seoul and Busan. After completing his LL.M. at Northwestern University Law School in the United States, he joined Dong-A University as a professor in 2007 and participated in the establishment of the law school.
