Author Lee Ji-yeon's 'Isaga' and author Mia's 'Bench, About Sadness' will receive the Bologna Ragazzi Awards at this year's Bologna Children's Book Fair. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 6th, Kim Gyu-a's 'Shadow Theater' and 5unday (text)·Yoon Hee-dae (illustration)'s 'House of Dracula' were also selected as Excellence Award winners.
Established in 1966, the Bologna Ragazzi Award is an honor given to books exhibited at the Bologna Children's Book Fair that are recognized for their artistic quality and creativity. The award is divided into six categories: Fiction, Non-fiction, New Horizons, Opera Prima, Photography, and Comics.
'Isaga' is a book in which the author describes ants moving in the yard during her childhood. With each page turn, a new large-scale migration of ants in crisis unfolds. 'Bench, About Sadness' is a picture book that can be opened on both sides. Readers can freely flip through the left and right pages to combine faces of people from an old album. It serves as a catalyst that helps cherish unforgettable moments.
