Kim Ki-hyun "Higher Voter Turnout is Advantageous... 'Rebellion' Expression is Absurd"
Kim Ki-hyun, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, expressed confidence that "the higher the voter turnout, the more advantageous it is" regarding the nearly 50% turnout in the party's mobile voting. He criticized candidates Ahn Cheol-soo and Chun Ha-ram for interpreting the high turnout as a 'rebellion vote,' calling it "absurd."
On the 6th, Kim said on MBC's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' that "I believe the higher the turnout, the more favorable it is for me."

Including the ARS voting held over the next two days, he expects the final turnout to reach 55%. Kim said, "So far, our ARS turnout has fluctuated around 10 percentage points, but since there was a lot of mobile voting this time, I don't think it will reach 10%, and it will probably be close to 55%, maybe a little less."
Regarding the record-high turnout, candidate Ahn raised his voice on social media (SNS), saying, "Turnout rebellion, the grassroots party sentiment is toward Ahn Cheol-soo," and candidate Chun interpreted it as "a rebellion of the silent majority." In response, Kim said, "It is absurd to call the party members' sentiment a rebellion. What does it even mean to call the expression of party members' usual thoughts a rebellion?"
He raised his voice, saying, "Within the ruling party, there is always internal bickering, and the issues pointed out by the Democratic Party account for less than 10% of the overall activity, with 90% being internal power struggles. What kind of party leader's image is that? I think this is the anger of the party members, or rather, it should be called the voting sentiment. This is much more strongly at work in the field." He argued that the emergence of the 'Lee Jun-seok faction' actually consolidated conservative votes.

Regarding reports that presidential office administrators shared content promoting Kim and disparaging Ahn in a group chat, Kim said, "I do not know anything beyond what I have seen in media reports. Even if they are public officials, participating in group chats is allowed, so just because someone posted something in the chat, it is an excessive logical leap to hold all participants responsible for the content posted by one person."
