Gyeonggi-do Operates 'Baby Boomer Happiness Campus' Supporting Retirement Planning and More
Gyeonggi Province operates the 'Gyeonggi Baby Boomer Happiness Campus' to support the retirement planning, lifelong education, and employment and entrepreneurship of the baby boomer generation. The province is also recruiting 2,135 participants for the Happiness Campus in the first half of the year.
On the 6th, the province announced that from this year, it will change the name of the existing 'Gyeonggi Middle-aged Happiness Campus' to 'Gyeonggi Baby Boomer Happiness Campus' and proceed with the project.
Previously, in 2021, the province established the Happiness Campus based on universities to support the re-advancement of baby boomers, becoming the first metropolitan local government in the country to do so. The province and the Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation cooperate to manage and operate the Happiness Campus and develop its model.

Dedicated spaces for baby boomers have been created to provide life redesign counseling, life transition and resocialization education, job support, community and social contribution activities support, and more.
This year, 98 courses are being offered, including Dementia Prevention Instructor in collaboration with Gangnam University and the local community, and Middle-aged Household Creative Academy at Daejin University.
