The Gwangjin District Council (Chairman Chu Yoon-gu) held a commemorative ceremony in the main assembly hall on the 3rd to mark the 28th anniversary of the council's establishment.
This Gwangjin District Council anniversary ceremony was organized to commemorate the establishment of the Gwangjin District Council, which has led the era of local autonomy as the foundation of grassroots democracy since the district was separated from Seongdong District on March 1, 1995. It was also a pledge to become a council that gives hope to the residents.
The ceremony, hosted by Jang Gil-cheon, Chairman of the Council Operations Committee, proceeded with the presentation of plaques of appreciation, followed by a commemorative speech by Chairman Chu Yoon-gu. Congratulatory speeches were then delivered by Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, Lee Jong-man, Chairman of the Legislative Council, former Chairman Lee Chang-bi, and former council members. The event concluded with the cutting of a celebratory cake marking the 28th anniversary, a toast proposed by Jang Gil-cheon, and a commemorative photo session.
