Korea GM's Global Sales in February Reach 26,191 Units, Up 14.6% Year-on-Year
On the 2nd, Korea GM announced that it sold a total of 26,191 units in February, an increase of 14.6% compared to the same month last year.
Overseas sales in February were recorded at 25,074 units, up 22.9% from the same month last year. With this, Korea GM has recorded year-on-year growth overseas for 11 consecutive months. In particular, the Chevrolet Trailblazer, along with the Buick Encore GX, which shares the same vehicle platform, sold 18,418 units, a 63.2% increase compared to the previous year.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is gaining popularity based on its product quality above its class and excellent cost-effectiveness. According to data from the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA), the Trailblazer, together with its sibling model, the Buick Encore GX, ranked first in export volume in the sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment in overseas sales performance in January.
Additionally, more than 6,000 units of the Chevrolet Trax Crossover North American model, which has started shipping, were recorded. The Trax Crossover was first unveiled in the North American market in October last year. The Trax Crossover is Chevrolet’s premium entry-level model, featuring spaciousness, new functions, and a modern and stylish design.
In the domestic market, Korea GM sold 63 units of the Sierra, the first launch model of the newly introduced GMC brand. The GMC Sierra is an authentic American pickup truck. The Sierra’s first shipment was sold out within two days after online contracts began on the 7th. Customer deliveries are currently being made sequentially.
