Yeongyang-gun Supports Purchase Costs for Adult Walkers for Elderly with Walking Difficulties
Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, provides financial support for the purchase of adult walkers to elderly individuals who have difficulty walking.
Support is available only to seniors aged 65 or older who have resided in Yeongyang-gun for more than one year and are recognized as having walking difficulties through documentation such as a long-term care grade exclusion certificate, doctor's opinion, or medical diagnosis.
However, those who have already received support under other laws or programs, such as the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act or the Long-term Care Insurance Act for the Elderly, are excluded from eligibility.
Selected recipients will receive differential support up to a maximum of 200,000 KRW per person based on income level, with basic livelihood security recipients and medical aid beneficiaries receiving 100% support.
The program plans to provide support from March until the budget is exhausted, aiming to assist approximately 100 units annually. Applications and purchase cost claims can be made at the local town or township office of the applicant's residence.
