Busan City and National Archives Co-host the 16th Love for Records Contest
Gathering Support for Busan's Bid for the 2030 World Expo
Applications Accepted from March 2 to April 10, Announcement on May 26
Busan City, together with the National Archives of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is hosting the 16th Love for Records Contest to gather support for Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo.
The contest will run for 40 days from the 2nd to April 10th. Participants can choose one of the following themes: ▲(Theme 1) ‘My Expo Experience’ or ‘Hope for Hosting the 2030 Busan Expo’ ▲(Theme 2) ‘New Hope, New Start, That Excitement.’ Entries can be submitted in the form of writing (poetry or prose), drawing (poster or calligraphy), or video production (documentary, animation, one-person broadcast, etc.) with creative freedom.
Anyone in the public can participate by applying through the National Archives’ website under the ‘Love for Records Contest’ section. Submitted works will be evaluated by a panel of external experts in each category. Judging criteria include relevance to the theme (25%), creativity (25%), expressiveness (25%), and artistic quality (25%).
A total of 45 winners will be selected, including 5 recipients of the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, 5 recipients of the Minister of Education Award, 30 recipients of the National Archives Director Award, and 5 special awards from the Busan Mayor. Winners will receive certificates and prizes. Note that the Busan Mayor’s Award will be selected from entries under Theme 1.
The winners will be announced on May 26th, and the award ceremony will be held on June 9th at the Records Day commemorative event. More detailed information can be found on the websites of the National Archives and Busan City.
