COVID-19 New Cases 7,561... About 3,000 Fewer Than a Week Ago (Update)
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on the 2nd, there were 7,561 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 30,533,573.
The number of new cases on this day decreased by 4,730 compared to the previous day (12,291 cases) and by 3,282 compared to a week ago on February 23 (10,843 cases). As the downward trend in the outbreak continues, the recent weekly average daily cases have fallen below 10,000.
Among the new confirmed cases, 23 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized is 129, a decrease of 16 from the previous day. The number of critically ill patients has remained in the 100s for 11 consecutive days.
