Pukyong National University Holds 2023 Academic Year Entrance Ceremony
On the morning of the 28th, Pukyong National University held the 2023 academic year entrance ceremony at the university theater.
The ceremony was conducted both in-person and online via YouTube live streaming, attended by new students, their parents, President Jang Young-su, other academic officials, and Seo Young-ok, president of the alumni association.
On this day, a total of 3,533 students enrolled as new students at Pukyong National University, including 571 from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, 215 from the College of Natural Sciences, 239 from the College of Business Administration, 1,108 from the College of Engineering, 384 from the College of Fisheries Science, 262 from the College of Environment and Ocean, 546 from the College of Information Convergence, 164 from the College of Future Convergence, and 44 from the Global Autonomous Major Department.
The 2023 academic year entrance ceremony of Pukyong National University is currently underway.
View original imageAt the event, Park Min-a from the Department of Industrial Chemistry and Polymer Engineering and Yoo Su-hyun from the Department of Fisheries Biomedical Science, who entered as top students in their respective military branches, received scholarship certificates covering full tuition for four years, 1.5 million KRW for the entrance semester, and 1 million KRW for each semester thereafter.
Following them, 16 freshmen including Lee Tae-kyung from the Department of International Area Studies, recognized for outstanding academic performance in their colleges, were awarded scholarship certificates covering full tuition for four years, 1 million KRW for the entrance semester, and 500,000 KRW for each semester.
President Jang Young-su addressed the new students, saying, “The era has come when the boundaries of the world disappear and challenges must be met with unprecedented ideas and methods. That world is the stage where you will shine, and our university will stand with you.”
