Yang Seung-hong, New President of Gimhae Medical Association, "We Will Be a Catalyst for Overcoming the Crisis"
Yang Seung-hong, director of Uryu Women’s Hospital in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, has taken office as the 19th president of the Gimhae Medical Association, beginning a two-year term.
According to Gimhae City on the 28th, the Gimhae Medical Association held its 74th regular general meeting and the inauguration and retirement ceremony for the 18th and 19th presidents at the Gimhae Ice Square Hotel on the 27th.
About 100 people attended the event, including Mayor Hong Tae-yong, Choi Seong-geun, president of the Gyeongsangnam-do Medical Association, and former presidents of the Gimhae Medical Association.

Newly appointed President Yang said, “I have taken this position with a heavy sense of responsibility at an important time,” adding, “Although there are many difficulties due to COVID-19, I will join forces with my colleagues in the medical association to become a catalyst for overcoming this crisis.”
On the same day, he donated 5 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Fund.
No Kyung-hwan, director of Gimhae Good Morning Hospital, also donated 5 million won to the city, and the Gimhae Medical Association along with Do Chang-ho, director of Dong Gimhae Internal Medicine Clinic, each generously contributed 10 million won in scholarships.
