Ministry of Health and Welfare Expands 'Bokjiro' Application Services to 44 Types
Online applications will become available for welfare services such as language development support, medical benefits, and loans for disabled persons' self-reliance funds, which previously required in-person visits to community centers.
On the 26th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that the number of welfare services available for application through the internet portal 'Bokjiro' will be expanded to 44 types.
Accordingly, following the language development support project on the 13th, from the 27th, three types of medical benefits (pregnancy and childbirth expenses, nursing care expenses, and exemption from co-payment) and loans for disabled persons' self-reliance funds can also be applied for through Bokjiro.
Previously, applicants had to visit the eup/myeon/dong community centers in person to apply for these welfare services, but with the availability of online applications, it is expected that more eligible individuals will be able to apply conveniently and easily.
Bokjiro is a comprehensive portal service that provides information on over 360 central government projects and more than 4,000 welfare services from local governments, supports online applications for 44 types of services, welfare membership, requests for help from households in crisis, and reports of fraudulent claims.
