Decision on Project Recipients for 34 Cases in 7 Fields

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-seon] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced on the 23rd that it has selected the recipients for the 2023 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Project.

The Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project is a program aimed at effectively spreading newly developed agricultural technologies. The Agricultural Technology Subcommittee operates with the purpose of reviewing and selecting pilot project recipients for the development of agriculture and rural areas in Gokseong-gun.

To comply with the government's policy for rapid execution of local finances, Gokseong-gun began recruiting applicants in December last year and conducted document reviews and on-site inspections from January to February this year.

The review covered a total of 34 cases across seven fields: ▲Guidance Planning ▲Human Resource Development ▲Rural Culture ▲Agricultural Machinery ▲Crop Environment ▲Fruit and Special Crops ▲Vegetables and Floriculture.

Each project was deliberated and approved considering pilot factors, including support for agricultural organizations, rural resource projects, establishment of rice natural circulation life agriculture complexes, technology dissemination projects, and support projects for young farmers.

Gokseong-gun plans to conduct preliminary education for the selected pilot project farms and officially launch the projects starting in March.

An official from the county stated, “The review involved many questions and answers to ensure transparency and fairness, and we will carry out field-centered, customized projects that can respond to changes in the agricultural environment in a substantial manner. We will also make every effort to ensure that the projects serve as a foundation for farm income and the development of agriculture and rural areas.”
