Jeju Island Hosts Workshop to Share Key Tasks Among Sports-Related Organizations
On the 22nd at Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Sports Hall... Discussion on this year's sports policy collaboration plans
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province held a meeting on the 22nd at the Jeju Sports Hall conference room, where the provincial government, administrative cities, and sports-related organizations gathered to share major tasks and discuss changes and advancements in sports administration in the Jeju region.
About 30 people attended the workshop, including officials from the provincial and administrative city departments, Jeju Sports Council, Disabled Sports Council, and executives of sports organizations from administrative cities.

Amid the transition to daily recovery through sports, discussions were held on establishing an organic cooperation system between administration and sports organizations for the 2023 Provincial Sports Festival and the 2026 National Sports Festival preparations, as well as on the operation plan for the sports administration 'Up&Jumping Council.'
Additionally, they shared the 2023 Jeju Sports Promotion Implementation Plan, institutional improvement tasks for innovation and trust enhancement in sports administration, activation plans for the dedicated training team (T/F), and plans for major sports competitions and events, agreeing to cooperate for smooth preparations and joint efforts.
In particular, to enable residents to lead healthy lives through sports, they agreed to provide financial support necessary to expand the base of general and disabled community sports, collect opinions through surveys for demand-centered sports administration, and prepare institutional improvement measures.
Oh Seong-yul, Director of the Jeju Provincial Office of Culture, Sports and Education, said, “This was a meaningful occasion to consider ways to realize a healthy and happy Jeju through sports based on collaboration between administration and sports organizations,” adding, “We will cooperate to create a healthy and happy society for residents through sports activities.”
