Korea Accounting Standards Board Appoints Professor Ihn Sang Lee as 9th President
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Korea Accounting Standards Board announced on the 23rd that it held the 2nd General Assembly of Members in 2023 and appointed Professor Han-sang Lee of Korea University as the 9th Chairman of the Korea Accounting Standards Board.

The term of the new chairman will be from the 1st of next month until February 28, 2026. He will concurrently serve as the chairman of the Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB) and the Sustainability Standards Board (KSSB).

Currently a member of the Korea Accounting Standards Board, the new chairman Lee was born in 1971 and has served as an administrative officer at the National Tax Service, advisory professor at the Financial Supervisory Service's Accounting System Office, audit committee member of the Securities and Futures Commission, member of the Ministry of Economy and Finance's Tax Development Deliberation Committee, advisory member to the Minister of SMEs and Startups, member of the public-private joint task force on digital assets, expert member of the 20th Presidential Transition Committee's Economic Division 1, and advisory member of the Macroeconomic and Financial Subcommittee of the Presidential National Economic Advisory Council.
