Expansion of the Altteul Transportation Card Support Program Implementation

Gyeongnam Province announced on the 23rd that it will expand the support project, which was conducted in 12 cities and counties, to 18 cities and counties starting this year to reduce transportation costs for residents and encourage the use of eco-friendly transportation and public transportation.
With the expansion of the implementation area, the project budget was also increased from 500 million won last year to 800 million won this year, including national funds.
According to the province, the Altteul Transportation Card is a card that accumulates mileage up to 30% based on the distance traveled by walking or cycling to use public transportation, and then provides monthly refunds or billing discounts.
As of the end of last year, an average of 5,046 Gyeongnam residents per month used it in 12 cities and counties in the province.
Any resident aged 19 or older can apply for the Altteul Transportation Card on the official website, then install the Altteul Transportation Card app on their mobile device and sign up as a member.
Pressing the start button at the departure point and the arrival button at the destination accumulates mileage.
For one-way bus fares under 2,000 won, 200 won is accumulated for the general public, 350 won for youth, and 700 won for low-income groups.

From April, the Altteul Transportation Card can also be used via mobile services such as Samsung Pay, and in July, the mileage accumulation limit will be raised from the current 44 times per month to 60 times.
The issuing card companies will also increase from the existing six companies?Shinhan, Hana, Woori, T-money, Roca, and DGB?to a total of 11 companies including Samsung, Hyundai, Kookmin, Nonghyup, and BC.
With the increase in the monthly limit, the amount saved, which was around 10,000 to 40,000 won per month, is planned to be raised to about 15,000 to 66,000 won per month.
