[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will provide up to 5 million won in support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) participating in overseas exhibitions.
Seongnam City announced on the 23rd that it will select 16 companies wishing to participate individually in overseas exhibitions in the first half of this year and provide support by the 10th of next month.
The application target is SMEs that participate individually in export exhibitions of corporate products held overseas by June without support from other organizations.
The company must have its headquarters or factory in the Seongnam area, and its export performance last year must be 10 million dollars or less.
Support target companies will be selected by evaluating the extent of benefits from other projects promoted by Seongnam City and the preparation status for participation.
If selected, support will be provided for booth rental fees, basic equipment costs, and online exhibition participation fees.
After participating in the overseas exhibition, companies can claim the support funds from Seongnam City, which will be paid retrospectively.
Applications for support can be made by visiting the Seongnam City website.
