KT Launches 'Smart Message Plus' Bulk Sending Service
Up to 1 Million Messages Can Be Sent per Session
...Expected Improvement in Usability for Bulk Sending Customers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT announced on the 23rd that it has launched a bulk sending service for 'Smart Message Plus' and revamped the user interface (UI) of the sending system to be more customer-friendly. This measure aims to enhance convenience for corporate customers who send a large number of messages at once.
Through the 'Smart Message Plus' bulk sending service, up to 1 million messages can be sent at once. Customers' sending requests are transmitted to the KT text message system. The time required for sending is about 1 minute for 100,000 messages, and approximately 10 minutes to send all 1 million messages.
KT has built a new server and system that stores messages to be sent and sends them sequentially to increase the speed and delivery rate of bulk text message sending.
The bulk sending service is expected to be highly useful for hospitals, universities, large academies, large marts, agricultural and fishery product distribution, and meat processing companies. In particular, it can be conveniently used on the 'Smart Message Plus' website, enabling efficient non-face-to-face promotion and marketing with a reasonable budget without separate facility investment.
Additionally, KT has carried out a UI overhaul focusing on simplifying the menu structure so that customers using 'Smart Message Plus' for the first time can use the service easily and conveniently. The UI allows most functions such as message type change, recipient setting, scheduling, and sending to be used on an integrated screen without menu navigation.
