Yun Cheol-ho, Re-elected for Third Term as Chairman of the Publishing Association, Says "Will Help Publishers Amidst Turbulence"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Yoon Cheol-ho, chairman of the Korea Publishing Culture Association, has succeeded in his third term. He was elected as the 51st chairman following the 49th and 50th terms. The term is three years.
The association held its 79th regular general meeting at 2 p.m. on the 22nd at Yonsei University Alumni Hall, where this decision was made.

View original imageYoon was elected by a margin of 20 votes over Kwon Hyuk-jae, CEO of Hakyeon Munhwasa. A total of 245 companies participated in the vote, with Yoon and Kwon receiving 131 and 111 votes respectively. Three votes were invalidated.
Yoon said, "As the industrial environment undergoes drastic changes, the role of the association is becoming increasingly important and complex. We will strengthen administrative and political capabilities as the representative organization of the publishing industry and become a group that supports publishers."

The newly appointed chairman, Yoon Cheol-ho, CEO of Social Review Co., Ltd., holds positions including director of the Korea Publishing Culture Promotion Foundation, director of the Paju Book City Cultural Foundation, co-representative of the Interpark Songin Books Creditors' Meeting, co-representative of the Seoul Bookstore Creditors' Meeting, and member of the National Assembly Library Development Advisory Committee, in addition to his role as chairman of the association.
