Gyeonggi-do Cooperative Governance Advisors 'So Young-hwan · Park Soon-ja'

View original image[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 22nd, Gyeonggi Province appointed former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member So Young-hwan as Cooperation Advisor 1 and former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member Park Soon-ja as Cooperation Advisor 2 to assist the Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs in policy decisions and to communicate with the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and the National Assembly.
The cooperation advisors are professional fixed-term positions equivalent to grade 4; Advisor 1 is responsible for the Democratic Party of Korea, and Advisor 2 is responsible for the People Power Party.
They will establish external communication networks with the Provincial Assembly, National Assembly, and others, negotiate policies, and perform conflict mediation and management tasks.
They will also assist the Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs in policy decisions related to provincial government issues.
Cooperation Advisor 1 So Young-hwan served as a three-term Goyang City Council member from 1998 to 1999 and from 2010 to 2018, and was a member of the 10th Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly from 2018 to 2022.
Advisor So stated, "In the current Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly where the number of ruling and opposition party members is equal, communication and cooperation between Gyeonggi Province and the Assembly are more necessary and urgent than ever. Based on my extensive legislative experience and crisis management skills, I will communicate and build cooperative relationships not only with the province and the Assembly but also with the National Assembly, cities and counties, and residents."
Cooperation Advisor 2 Park Soon-ja served as a member of the 9th Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly from 2014 to 2018 and was a Uijeongbu City Council member from 2018 to 2022.
