Cultural Events Including Opera and Theater Held to Welcome New Spring and Semester
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will hold various cultural events such as concerts and plays for children and families at ‘Busan City Hall Deullak Deullak’ to welcome the new spring.
The ‘Magic Flute,’ screening at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, is an opera produced as an animation featuring Busan City’s communication character ‘Bugi.’
During the video screening, live performances of violin, bassoon, piano, and other instruments along with explanations tailored to children’s perspectives will be provided. In the latter part of the performance, ‘Bugi’ will appear in person to sing an encore piece and prepare for commemorative photo sessions, offering children an enjoyable experience.
On Saturday, March 4, at 2 p.m., the Busan Municipal Art Troupe will perform the play ‘Eolssoojulssoo Dokkaebi Bangmangi.’ This children’s play is a fun adaptation of the Korean traditional folktale Dokkaebi Bangmangi and will also be presented on the Busan City Hall Deullak Deullak stage for children.
A city official stated that various cultural and artistic events such as musicals and concerts to nurture children’s sensitivity and creativity have been prepared at Busan City Hall Deullak Deullak, and more events are being planned.
