[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Belarus has stated that Ukrainian forces are gathering near the border area between the two countries, posing a security threat.
According to foreign media including Reuters on the 21st, the Belarus Ministry of Defense said in a Telegram post that "a considerable number of Ukrainian troops are currently gathered near the border area," and "the possibility of military provocations that could lead to border incidents has increased."
The Belarus Ministry of Defense added, "Appropriate measures will be taken in response." However, it was reported that it is not possible to verify the accuracy of Belarus's claims.
