Jindo-gun Supports 700 Million KRW for Packaging Materials and Delivery Costs of Agricultural and Marine Specialties

Expectations for Product Differentiation and Distribution Cost Reduction

[Jindo＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Namjung] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, is investing 700 million KRW to brand its agricultural and marine specialty products by supporting packaging materials and delivery costs.

According to the county on the 21st, the packaging material support project targets organizations such as agricultural and fishery corporations, agricultural and fishery company corporations, farming groups, fishing villages, and individual business owners with business registration.

It supports 50% of the production or purchase cost of packaging materials such as paper boxes, plastic containers, and pouches, up to a maximum of 5 million KRW.

Additionally, delivery cost support is provided to organizations and individual business owners who directly produce agricultural and marine products within the county and engage in direct transactions of processed agricultural and marine products, with up to 8,000 KRW per delivery and a maximum of 3 million KRW.

The county plans to continuously implement various support projects to reduce agricultural product distribution costs and increase farm income, aiming to expand sales channels for excellent Jindo-gun agricultural products and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

A representative of the Jindo-gun Agricultural and Marine Distribution Business Group stated, “Farmers and fishers are facing many difficulties due to rising prices and economic recession,” adding, “We expect that support for packaging materials and delivery costs will help increase farm and fishery income by differentiating products and reducing distribution costs.”
