CJ Logistics Opens Poland Office... "Starting to Expand European Logistics Territory"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CJ Logistics announced on the 21st that it has newly opened an office in Wrocław, Poland to target the European logistics market.
CJ Logistics plans to make Poland a new strategic hub in Europe. Utilizing its global network based on 249 bases in 36 countries worldwide, it will provide comprehensive logistics services to Korean companies entering the European market as well as multinational corporations.
In fact, last December, CJ Logistics safely transported the initial batch of 10 K-2 tanks to Poland. It also operated a rail transport business moving batteries and automotive parts departing from China to Poland via the Trans-China Railway. Additionally, it provides various comprehensive logistics services centered on major European hubs such as Germany and Italy, in collaboration with its Middle East global affiliate CJ ICM.
Wrocław, where CJ Logistics’ Poland office is located, is the largest industrial city and logistics hub in southern Poland. It is also adjacent to Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, and Ukraine.
Poland is a traditional production base in Europe, with many Korean companies entering the manufacturing industries such as automobiles, batteries, and electronics. Recently, economic cooperation between the two countries has been strengthened as defense and nuclear export contracts have been continuously concluded.
In particular, Poland is considered one of the most important strategic points for logistics companies as it is located in the heart of Europe. It has the Port of Gda?sk, the only ice-free deep-water port on the Baltic Sea that handles the largest cargo volume in Eastern Europe. It is also a key hub for the Trans-China Railway (TCR) and the Trans-Siberian Railway (TSR), which connect Asia and Europe.

Kang Byung-gu, Head of CJ Logistics’ Global Division, said, “We are recently strengthening logistics businesses centered on strategic countries such as the United States, India, and Vietnam. Along with this, the entry into Poland holds even greater significance as it can serve as a foothold for expanding new logistics territories in future logistics industries such as defense and electric vehicle batteries.”
