Since Pohang Hangwa first began exporting to Australia and China in 2019, continuous product development and quality improvement efforts have led to its recognition as a nutritious snack that meets the needs of not only overseas Korean communities but also local consumers.
Recently, the city has actively engaged in export marketing, including overseas promotion, sales promotion, and export consultations, which contributed to the successful large-scale export of Hangwa this time.
The city expects that this large-scale export of Hangwa will positively impact the expansion of sales channels for rice processed foods and rice consumption.
