Ministry of the Interior and Safety Explores Digital Document Innovation Direction Through Public-Private Collaboration
Launch of the Digital Document Innovation Policy Forum
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 19th that it will hold the "1st Digital Document Innovation Policy Forum" tomorrow at the Government Seoul Office to expand practical cooperation between the public and private sectors on digital document innovation.
The "Digital Document Innovation Policy Forum" is a policy consultation body being held for the first time this year to identify various policy issues arising during the document innovation process in the digital transition era and to build a policy consensus through the establishment of a public-private governance body.
The policy forum will include private experts from various fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), platforms, and electronic documents.
The policy forum will mainly discuss the latest domestic and international technological trends and policy issues related to digital document innovation, directions for legal and institutional improvements, and mid- to long-term strategies. This forum will cover topics such as the progress and achievements of administrative document innovation so far, as well as future mid- to long-term policy directions for administrative document innovation.

Jeong Seon-yong, Director of Government Innovation Organization at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated, "It is important for the public and private sectors to cooperate closely to build a consensus on government policy directions," adding, "We will regularly hold the Digital Document Innovation Policy Forum in the future to function as a venue where the public and private sectors jointly develop document innovation policies."
