[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seong-heon) announced on the 17th that it was finally selected in the ‘2023 Urban Landscape Improvement Project Contest’ hosted by Seoul City with the plan titled ‘Creation Plan for Hongjecheon Cultural Park Flowing with Light and Art.’
This plan is based on the waterside cafe established last year at the Hongjecheon Waterfall Square and aims to elevate Hongjecheon to become a representative premium stream of Seoul City.
The district aims to improve the landscape of Hongjecheon centered around the Waterfall Square, applying integrated public design to create an attractive, citizen-centered space.
Specifically, the plan includes ▲installation of a permanent stage ▲media art production on the artificial waterfall ▲program planning utilizing the waterside cafe, transforming Hongjecheon into a ‘premium stream flowing with light and art.’
