According to the Gwangju Nambu Fire Station, the accident occurred around 4:18 p.m. on the 16th at a health center located in an apartment shopping mall in Juwol-dong, Nam-gu, where a herbal medicine boiler exploded.
Three people in their 70s to 80s were injured in the accident, with one sustaining serious injuries and two, including the store owner, sustaining minor injuries.
Four ambulances and more than 30 emergency personnel were urgently dispatched to the scene.
