Husband Who Killed and Abandoned Wife in Seosan Arrested at Philippine Airport
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] A husband who killed his wife and disposed of the body in Seosan, Chungnam, was arrested at an airport in the Philippines.
On the 16th, Chungnam police announced that they recently arrested Mr. A (in his 30s) at Manila Airport in the Philippines on charges of murder and corpse disposal.
According to the police, Mr. A killed his wife at a residence in Seosan on the 23rd of last month. After disposing of the body, he fled overseas.
In response, the police requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to invalidate Mr. A's passport and issued a red notice through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to pursue him.
Mr. A was caught by local police in the Philippines while on the red notice list, and it has been confirmed that the Philippine police are currently protecting him at the Bureau of Immigration for foreigners.

A Chungnam police official stated, “With the cooperation of the National Police Agency’s Foreign Affairs Bureau and the Philippine National Police, we plan to repatriate Mr. A to Korea as soon as possible.”
