Goheung-gun Selected for Social Economy Public-Private Collaboration System Establishment Project Competition

Securing 100 Million KRW in Project Funds, Social Economy Talent Development, etc.

[Asia Economy] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 15th that it has secured 100 million KRW in project funds after being selected for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 'Social Economy Public-Private Collaboration System Establishment Project' contest.

The Social Economy Collaboration System Establishment Project aims to activate the social economy by moving away from unilateral government-led financial support and promoting projects that reflect the voices from the field needed in the region through public-private collaboration. A total of 37 projects nationwide and four in Jeollanam-do were selected.

With this selection, Goheung-gun will carry out public-private collaborative projects including market expansion support projects such as ▲live commerce ▲entry into Goheung Pavilion within large distribution channels, network projects such as ▲social economy forum ▲social economy awards ▲social economy festival, and talent development projects such as ▲social economy academy for returnees to farming and fishing villages.

Through this project, companies that have faced financial difficulties are expected to increase sales by securing market channels both online and offline. Additionally, the academy and social economy festival will help spread awareness of the social economy and contribute to revitalizing the local economy by building networks between residents and social economy enterprises.

A county official stated, "This contest has special significance as it is a project promoted through public-private collaboration reflecting the voices of social enterprises themselves," and added, "We will continue to expand collaboration areas for the growth and activation of the social economy."
