Busan Gijang-gun, Agricultural Technology Center Recruiting Research Members in Rural Resources Field
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center is recruiting new members for the ‘Gijang Food Culture Research Association’ and the ‘Cha Seonggyu Bang Craft Research Association’ from the 16th of this month to March 10th.
Both research associations are active in revitalizing rural resources and inheriting and developing traditional culture.
The ‘Gijang Food Culture Research Association’ is an organization that ▲ researches traditional Korean food ▲ passes traditional Korean food on to the next generation and distributes it to the local community ▲ conducts education related to traditional food, self-study, and research activities, and visits advanced regions for study.
The ‘Cha Seonggyu Bang Craft Research Association’ is an organization that ▲ raises awareness of the importance of indigenous cultural resources and conducts practical research ▲ inherits and develops traditional living skills and establishes a foundation for cultural commercialization ▲ develops products containing Korean images and sentiments and seeks income-generating methods by researching and learning traditional living skills and distributing them to the local community.
Both associations require applicants to be women aged 60 or younger residing in Gijang-gun as of the date of joining, who can actively participate in the association’s activities. Preference is given to those holding certifications in related fields such as cooking technician, natural dyeing, and gyubang craft.
The Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center stated, “We will do our best to operate the research association programs to improve the quality of life of the residents,” and added, “We hope many residents interested in the research association activities will participate.”
