On the 14th, Governor Kim posted on his social network service (SNS) a message titled "Audit 4.0 with Residents," stating, "Integrity is fundamental for public officials," and emphasized the need for a new audit system by adding, "In addition, 'reform' that meets the residents' perspective is necessary."
He continued, "Gyeonggi Province is starting an integrated audit system where residents directly participate, fitting the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution," and explained, "'Audit 4.0,' centered on the introduction of the Gyeonggi Province-style Audit Committee, is exactly that."
Governor Kim added, "(Going forward, Gyeonggi Province audits) will not only operate an audit committee with independence, democracy, and autonomy but also organically connect preemptive audits, a dedicated ombudsman designation system, resident participation systems, and the systematization of public institution audit systems."
Furthermore, he said, "Yeom Jong-hyun, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, also specially mentioned during the temporary session, 'The Audit Committee has been continuously demanded by the council. Since previous governors have rejected it, this decision is even more meaningful,'" and promised, "We will also listen carefully to residents' grievances and suggestions and reflect them in the audits."
