Drunk Driver Crashes into Military Base Guard Post
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] A drunk driver crashed into the main gate facilities of a military base in Jangseo, Jeonnam.
According to Jangseong Police Station on the 13th, at around 2 a.m. the previous day, a passenger car driven by A (47) hit the checkpoint barrier at the main gate of Sangmudae in Jangseong-gun, Jeonnam.
The military rapid response team immediately dispatched to the scene and apprehended A on site. It is reported that there were no signs of espionage, and A was handed over to the police.
A reportedly told the police, "I got lost because I was drunk."
It was investigated that A was in a state of intoxication with a blood alcohol concentration high enough to cancel his license.
