The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 12th that on the 10th, it held the inauguration ceremony for 'Paran119' in the main conference room of the headquarters building in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, recognizing the growing need for changes in the fire department's organizational culture due to the influx of the MZ generation born in the 1980s and 1990s, and the necessity to proactively discover active fire policies to respond preemptively to changes in disaster environments.
In Paran119, 'Paran' carries the meaning of creating a fresh wave of change within the organization and breaking the existing mold. Paran119 is composed of a total of five teams, each consisting of 10 members.
Each team operates for two months, holding one or two agenda meetings monthly to discuss overall improvements related to organizational culture and to discover new policies on prevention, response, and rescue.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to actively incorporate agendas that stand out for creativity and innovation into fire policies.
At the inauguration ceremony, the first agenda selected was the promotion of fire policies tailored to the characteristics of each fire station, including fire prevention and response.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters will hold a Paran119 performance report meeting in October. One outstanding team will be selected and provided incentives such as visits to private company organizational cultures.
