Samsung Family's Lee Seo-hyun Sells All Samsung SDS Shares for Inheritance Tax Payment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Lee Seo-hyun, Chairwoman of the Samsung Welfare Foundation and younger sister of Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, has sold all of her Samsung SDS shares.
According to the electronic disclosure system on the 10th, Chairwoman Lee signed a securities disposal trust contract with Hana Bank on the 2nd to dispose of 1,511,584 shares of Samsung SDS.
This represents all the Samsung SDS shares she holds, accounting for a 1.95% stake. The contract period is until April 28. The purpose of the disposal is to pay inheritance tax.
Earlier, the Samsung family reported over 12 trillion won in inheritance tax to the Yongsan Tax Office in Seoul in 2021 and applied for a five-year installment payment plan.

The estimated inheritance tax on stock shares is 3.1 trillion won for Mrs. Hong Ra-hee, 2.9 trillion won for Chairman Lee, 2.6 trillion won for Lee Boo-jin, President of Hotel Shilla, and 2.4 trillion won for Chairwoman Lee.
