“Let’s Help Turkey and Syria Earthquake Victims” Gyeongbuk Office of Education Starts Fundraising
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education has launched a fundraising campaign from the 10th to the 16th to help the people of Turkey and Syria who suffered great damage from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that occurred in southeastern Turkey.
This fundraising campaign is being promoted together with the Korean Red Cross to provide emergency relief activities and recovery support for the victims affected by the earthquake in the Turkey and Syria regions.
The fundraising campaign is autonomously promoted by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, educational administrative institutions, and individual schools.
The collected donations are deposited to the Korean Red Cross under the name of the school (including institutions), and management and support are also operated by the Korean Red Cross. Major support includes operating temporary shelters, providing relief supplies, medical support, and relief food aid.
