Donor Participation Surpasses 200 People
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] As Gyeongnam Miryang City marks one month since the implementation of the Hometown Love Donation Program, it has achieved an astonishing record of surpassing 200 participants.
According to the city on the 10th, the Hometown Love Donation Program is gradually gaining momentum, with donors from all over the country continuously increasing in support of Miryang. Additionally, donations from high-value donors have not ceased. Following the emergence of the first and second high-value donors in January, donations from high-value donors continued in February as well.
Kim Cheong-hye, a native residing in Seoul, made a generous donation of 5 million won, conveying warm feelings to Miryang.
Park Hyun-soo, president of the Busan Hometown Association residing in Busan, also donated 5 million won, joining the ranks of high-value donors to Miryang City.
Besides these high-value donors, donations supporting the development of Miryang continue from all over the country. In particular, donations of 100,000 won, which allow donors to receive the greatest benefits, constitute a large portion.

The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won per person to local governments other than their place of residence. Donors can receive return gifts within 30% of the donation amount, and tax deductions are available: a full deduction up to 100,000 won, and a 16.5% tax credit on the excess amount.
