Seoul City Hosts Carbon Neutrality Practical Competition for University Students
300 University Students Form 10 Teams for 3-Month Practice
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that on the 9th at 14:30, it will hold the event ‘Carbon Neutral Practice Contest Campus Daejeon, Our School Now’ with 300 youths at the multipurpose hall on the 8th floor of Seoul City Hall.
The 300 university students selected through an open recruitment formed 10 teams and have been practicing various carbon neutral activities individually and as teams since November last year.
The 10 teams presented their activities over the past four months at this contest, and the city will select three outstanding teams (Grand Prize, Excellence, Encouragement) through expert judging and on-site voting.
Meanwhile, the excellent teams’ practical ideas will be reviewed and further developed into future Seoul citywide citizen campaigns.

Lee In-geun, Head of the Climate and Environment Headquarters of Seoul City, said, “We thank the youths who worked hard on and off campus for four months for Seoul’s carbon neutrality,” and added, “Seoul will strive to expand the activities practiced by youths into citizen campaigns and more.”
