On the 9th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will carry out the 'Hanok Construction and Repair Support Project' for 3 hanok buildings in the Icheon area and the 'Hanok Small-scale Emergency Repair Project' for 15 hanok buildings across the province this year.
First, to support hanok construction and repair, the province will jointly provide 90 million KRW for hanok construction costs with Icheon City. The province will also support repair costs for hanok owners who need repairs but face difficulties due to financial issues.
In addition to the support projects, the province will provide technical and administrative support to hanok owners who are struggling due to a lack of specialized skills for hanok repairs.
