[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Actor Yoo Ah-in is under police investigation for habitual use of propofol.
On the 9th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit announced that Yoo has been booked on charges including violation of the Narcotics Control Act and is currently under investigation.
Earlier, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety confirmed that Yoo had repeatedly been prescribed propofol and requested a police investigation. It is reported that Yoo received propofol prescriptions from multiple hospitals.
On the 6th, the police collected Yoo's body hair and requested a drug test from the National Forensic Service.

Yoo's agency stated in a press release, "Yoo recently underwent police questioning related to propofol, is fully cooperating with all investigations, and plans to actively clarify any problematic issues. We apologize for causing concern."
