On the 8th, Kim posted on his social network service (SNS) titled "We will solve the problems of aging housing areas through cooperation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport," stating, "Gyeonggi Province's proposals have been significantly reflected in the Ministry of Land's 'Special Act (draft) for the Redevelopment of Aging New Towns,'" and added, "This is the result of cooperation between central and local governments, and above all, I welcome the Ministry of Land's progressive and proactive attitude."
He continued, "So far, Gyeonggi Province has conducted multiple expert consultations, operated task forces, analyzed bills submitted to the National Assembly, and toured new towns, actively participating in the cooperation system between the central government and local governments together with the 'Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation,'" adding, "This was to quickly resolve the difficulties faced not only by the first-generation new towns but also by residents of aging housing areas within Gyeonggi Province."
